This describes leather from cows that has been stamped to give it a design. Often times this is done to create a floral pattern, basket weave or to replicate an exotic leather.
We use this term exclusively for any skin or hide that is derived from a wild animal such as a lizard, alligator or ostrich. Cows leather is NOT included in this designation. All exotic animal products are sourced through responsible and legal vendors.
Shrunken Shoulder refers to cowhide that has been shrunken during the tanning process to create a unique grain pattern.
Cowhide, Goat Skin, Lamb Skin and Pig Skin can an be either a soft & supple skin or a pebble grain skin made into a naked finish or a hide with different finishes applied to it.
Unlike embossed leathers, Pebble Grain is a natural texture / grain in the leather which makes it unique and beautiful.
These are both features that decorate the edges of the leather and give it an upscale and "finished" appearance.
Top Grain / Full Grain Hides are a one piece leather (not laminates) in various thicknesses. We only use top grain / full grain hides.
